This charming, retro steampunk-style mantis is mostly composed of recycled watch and jewelry parts. The delicate and colorful wings capture the pattern and texture of a real praying mantis.

The praying mantis is a carnivorous insect with a handsome, streamlined body structure. They actually have five eyes and can see in 3D stereo via the two large compound eyes positioned on each side of the head. Situated between the two larger eyes are three smaller ones that are sensitive to changes in light intensity. These eyes contribute to the mantis’s prowess as an agile and efficient predator, allowing it to stalk, ambush, and capture its prey with remarkable accuracy.
