This is not a mechanical model, this is a grand piece of jewelry worthy of a display case and placement near the Fabergé and Laliqué. Except for a few hiccups in the instructions where the images of right and left leg assemblies were reversed from one step to another, the model was beautifully engineered. To elaborate on my indictment of the instructions, the articulating joints are shown built in a certain direction to denote left and right and then shown completely opposite when adding the legs. This had to be noted for the final attachment to the leg plate. Literally swapping the assemblies marked left and right for the opposite sides. Fortunately I realized this early on when the screw direction for the legs was reversed from the articulating joints. (per their instructions)

The parts are beautifully machined the screws and threaded bushings and nuts always fit perfectly with no resistance or inherent desire to cross thread. Except for the above exception the instructions and order of operations mostly make sense. I do recommend reading ahead because sometimes a latter step on the next page makes the former more doable. This is especially so when the instructions require you to loosely hold together twenty different parts before adding them somewhere else. Sometimes the next step contains a plate or bolt that you were going to add anyway, makes the assembly easier, but they just did not bother to tell you.
If you have any issues with manual dexterity this model may not be for you because it often requires you to have extra fingers and arms to complete. However no step was ultimately insurmountable, and I completed each task only using the tools provided, which are adequate. One other caveat is that you should not add the finishing shells to the frame until dead last despite that the instructions show otherwise. The reason being they are only held with one screw each, screw into a threaded plate, which continually loosens with the required further handling. This requires you to continually retighten also wearing at the threads and the aluminum shells.

A beautiful work of art, seriously worthy of a place among the finer brica-brac of your home.

I took multiple hours over several days to complete this, but I also took my time, which paid off in the end.
